AutoBids LLC ("AutoBids," "we," "us," or "our") provides a platform that helps drivers connect with automotive shops and parts providers. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the AutoBids app and website.
Information we collect
- Account and profile information, such as your name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code.
- Vehicle, repair, parts-request, location, and transaction-related information you choose to provide.
- Technical, security, and usage information needed to operate and protect AutoBids.
- Support communications and other information you send to us.
How we use information
We use information to provide and improve AutoBids, maintain accounts, verify contact information, connect users with requested services, communicate about the service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Manual location search
When you type a manual location in the shop search, AutoBids sends the partial search text and, when available, a general search center to Google Maps Platform so that location suggestions can be returned. If you choose a suggestion, its Google place identifier is used to resolve the coordinates needed for the nearby-shop search. Phone verification and text messages
When you save a phone number in your AutoBids profile and request verification, we use that number to send the one-time verification code you requested. Message frequency varies based on your requests. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
AutoBids does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We may use service providers, including our messaging provider, only as needed to deliver and secure requested verification messages. Those providers may not use SMS opt-in data for their own marketing.
How we share information
We may share information with service providers that operate AutoBids, with shops or providers as needed to fulfill a request you initiate, in connection with a business transaction, or when required for safety or legal compliance. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here and use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices
You may update your profile in the app. For verification texts, reply STOP to opt out and START to opt back in. Reply HELP or contact us for assistance. You may also contact us about access, correction, or deletion requests that apply under law.
Children
AutoBids is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as AutoBids evolves. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date when changes take effect.
